In 1997, on the 50th anniversary of the expulsions, the municipality of Dorog unveiled a memorial on the Day of Reconciliation on the Church Square. It was created by sculptor Ferenc Árvai. The inscription “Here and there we wander and our homeland is nowhere – 1947-1997” recalls the inscription on the wagons of the displaced and the year of the displacement and the memorial.
